I'll post details on which trail we are doing a few days before the outing, after we get a chance to scout out current trail conditions on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
Davis, my assistant, will lead the Monday Night hikes for me while I attend the Multi-Sport Outings each week at Liberty Park.
Each week, I choose a new trail in the beautiful Wasatch Mountains for you to enjoy. You will not be disappointed!
Monday evening hikes have something for everyone.
If you want easier and shorter, you got it. These evening hikes are a great way to acclimate your body to hiking if you are new to our group and hiking.
For stronger, more experienced hikers, join us since you will love the variety of trails each week hidden away in the Wasatch Mountains.
We'll be off the trail before 8 pm but if you have a head lamp bring it just in case.
Feel free to make this as short of hike as you like.
Bring a camera, 1 - 2 liters of water and a snack.
SAFETY is our TOP Priority!
Here are a few safety tips. Also, try to come to our 30 minute hiking orientation every Sat. 8 - 8:30 am
- I recommend hiking poles since they give you extra support and a better over-all workout. They will help you a lot with balance and coordination as well. Used ski poles work really well too! Purchase a pair at a local thrift store.
- There really is SAFETY IN NUMBERS! Stay together. Davis will lead. He will find someone each week who is willing to bring up the rear. Everyone in the group stays between the leader and the caboose. If someone needs to leave early, we will ask if there are others who want to go back early so no one ever needs to hike alone.
- Dress in layers, if necessary. Be prepared for any type of weather condition. Mountain weather is generally cooler than the valley.
If you want to meet us closer to the trailhead OR if you don't see our group at the meeting place, please contact Davis. Cell: 801-839-4579 OR email: davismail443@gmail.com
