Outdoor Adventure Club - see ALL that we offer by watching this video

Enjoy a bagel I bring for our hikers each week while learning more about our Summer Hiking Season.

The Wasatch Mountains are so close to us that you literally feel like you are transformed into another world when you join us!  From June through September, you'll experience waterfalls, forests, lakes, meadows, and plenty of high altitude trails that come with breath-taking views for hundreds of miles in all directions.

8 AM:  Leave for trail head

Orientation includes:

  • Benefits of Hiking
  • If you are new to hiking or out of shape, how to ease into this sport
  • How we accommodate beginner to hard core hikers every week.
  • What about children, dogs, etc.?
  • 2 Most important purchases:  hiking shoes and socks, What to look for, where to find them
  • How to avoid blisters on your feet
  • What to wear
  • Using poles - pros & cons
  • Types of summer trails
  • What we consider a "beginner, moderate and more difficult" hike.
  • Dangers to be aware of in the Wasatch Mountains
  • Favorite waterfall hikes
  • Finding out about details on the trails each week i.e. when we return, distance, elevation gain, etc.
  • How we help those with less ability and lack of hiking experience.
  • What to bring

Come just for the orientation if you don't feel comfortable or prepared to hike yet.

Continue to come early each week, to get a bagel, meet people before we leave and learn new things from my orientation.  We want you to have a great experience, the FIRST time and every time you join us!
