On every trip we share lodging, meals and transportation in a safe, fun environment so everyone may 1) have a great time 2) get to know others in the group  3) enjoy outdoor recreational activities and sports in a way that feels right for you.   

Everyone will discover the outdoors in a customized way to meet their needs and wants.

We are fortunate to attract so many incredible, interesting, active adults who come from all walks of life. The location, scenery, activities, sports, food, entertainment, etc. may be the vehicle that brings us together but developing new friendships is actually one of the greatest and long lasting reward of all.

Itinerary

Due to a variety of elements out of my control this itinerary may be changed slightly. Some activities may be moved around to another day.

 

Wednesday March 1 (D)

7:30 AM:  Leave SLC

12 Noon:  Arrive in Boulder, Utah. Eat lunch, 

Hike and Explore near Boulder.  Anasazi Museum State Park, Dixie National Forest, Hell’s Backbone Trail, the Hog Back, Upper Calf Creek Trail 

4 pm - Check in to our lodging

6 PM - Dinner & short meeting to discuss plans for the following day

7 pm - Sunset photography, exploring, star gazing, board games, relaxing, alone time, social time, whatever you feel most comfortable doing, journal writing, reading, etc.

Thursday March 2 (B, L, D)

6 - 8 AM:  Options include: sunrise walk near our home, breakfast, study wildlife, prepare a sack lunch, stretch, yoga, etc.

Hike and Explore Lower Calf Creek Falls and Escalante.

8 am - Lower Calf Creek Falls Trail, 6 mile RT hike

12 noon - Lunch

1 PM - Scenic drive to Escalante, Petrified Forest, Visitors Center, other hiking trails in and around Escalante, relax at the reservoir at the State Park, shop for petrified wood, etc. 

6 PM - Dinner & short meeting to discuss plans for the following day

7 pm - Sunset photography, exploring, star gazing, board games, relaxing, alone time, social time, whatever you feel most comfortable doing, journal writing, reading, etc.

Friday March 3 - (B, L, D)

6 - 8 AM:  Options include: sunrise walk near our home, breakfast, study wildlife, prepare a sack lunch, stretch, yoga, etc.

8 AM - 5 PM: Hike and explore areas along the Hole in the Rock Road, Devils Garden, Escalante River Trail, upper Calf Creek if we didn’t hike it yet.

**Those planning on Canyoneering may be leaving on this day with their leaders at 8 AM also. 

6 PM - Dinner & short meeting to discuss plans for the following day

7 pm - Sunset photography, exploring, star gazing, board games, relaxing, alone time, social time, whatever you feel most comfortable doing, journal writing, reading, etc.

Saturday March 4 - (B, L, D)

6 - 8 AM:  Options include: sunrise walk near our home, breakfast, study wildlife, prepare a sack lunch, stretch, yoga, etc.

8 AM - 5 PM:  This is a make-up day.  I leave one of the last days on our trip with a very loose itinerary so we can fit in anything that we didn’t get to already due to weather conditions, etc.  There is PLENTY to do so no worries on not having enough incredible places to explore or hike!!

6 PM - Dinner & short meeting to discuss plans for the following day

7 pm - Sunset photography, exploring, star gazing, board games, relaxing, alone time, social time, whatever you feel most comfortable doing, journal writing, reading, etc.

Sunday March 5 (B, L)

6 - 8 AM:  Options include: sunrise walk near our home, breakfast, study wildlife, prepare a sack lunch, stretch, yoga, etc.

8 AM:  Prepare to check out.  Some people will be leaving for home first thing in the morning.  Others may want to stay and continue hiking and exploring this incredible terrain before going home. We’ll discuss all your options at the Pre Trip Meeting prior to leaving on this trip AND again the night before so we can accommodate everyone for this final day.

Lodging: 

Beautiful, vacation home in Boulder, Utah (full kitchen, living room, TV, internet, washer, dryer, etc.)

Meals

12 Delicious Meals (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner).  Healthy, hearty, home cooked dinner entrees available in our Boulder home consisting of Asian, Mexican, Italian and American themes. A tasty salad bar and desert are provided each evening as well.  

Everyone will choose their own breakfast and lunch makings from an assortment of food provided. 

Breakfast items include granola, hot cereal, brown and white sugar, walnuts, almond milk, regular milk, toast, jam, eggs, fruit, juice.  

Sack lunch items include a variety of sandwich makings i.e. peanut butter, jam, turkey, cheese, lettuce, spinach, dill and sweet pickles, bread, condiments, chips, fruit, veggie sticks and cookies.

Water is provided.  All other beverages may be purchased on your own.

Let me know about any medical conditions, food preferences, allergies, physical limitations, or anything else you may be concerned with.  Our goal is to do everything within reason to help you have a fun, safe, memorable adventure trip!  This information is kept confidential.

Flexible Activity Level

You are invited to join us on as many activities as you prefer. Every effort is made to accommodate a variety of physical abilities and skill levels.  There is no need to feel pressure to compete or keep up with others in the group.  We’ll take care of you!

Communication

During the trip, an important, daily, short meeting is held generally in the evening during dinner to discuss activities and plans for the following day. Any suggestions, concerns, problems, etc., should be discussed at this time, if possible.
