Flat Water Kayak and Stand Up Paddle Board Orientation

Sheryl McGlochlin - Monday, April 23, 2012

My back yard:  2836 E Casto Lane (5060 So.)  Holladay, UT  84117

Time:  6:30 - 8 pm

This free orientation is for those who want to join us this year flat water kayaking and stand up paddle surfing.

You'll save yourself a lot of time and feel a lot more confident IF you get familiar with our system BEFORE we go.

At the orientation, I'll cover the basic requirements and information you need to join us:

I need to find a few people who will come to my home and help me load the boats on any given outing

To attend any of our Flat Water Kayak or SUP Board outings, you must be a member of our Outdoor Adventure Club ($35/year).  You don't have to be a member to attend the free orientation.  Come and learn more before joining, if you like.

At the meeting,

you'll learn more about...

Where we go boating

What to bring

What to wear

How we load the boats and boards

What kind of help I need from you to load and unload the equipment

How to get in/out of the kayaks AND on/off the SUP Boards

Basic paddling techniques

Basic info on Stand Up Paddle Surfing

And much more!

I have 5 Stand up Paddle Boards and 13 Flat Water Kayaks

By attending, you'll learn more about some of my favorite outdoor recreational toys that are fairly new on the market.

I discover many of these products at the Outdoor Retail Show every year.

Custom-made hoops that I personally make, are provided for you to try, at no additional charge.  I teach hooping classes on Thursday nights, so I'll give you a taste of some of the tricks you can do with a hoop!

If you like hooping, purchase a hoop from me at the park or in advance by CLICKING HERE.  Cost: $10/hoop

Hoops are available in 2 sizes: children and adult

Outdoor Adventure Club members have first preference using products i.e. freeline skates, land paddle boards, trike, etc.
